You can run Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook on a Mac (and on your iPad or iPhone). But it’s not a simple case of installing the application you need and starting to. Excel 2016 for Mac brings lots of welcome improvements to the workhorse spreadsheet but also leaves out useful tools. Moving to the cloud: Like the other apps in the latest Mac Office suite. IWork is Apple's answer to the Microsoft Office suite of programs, only for Mac computers and iOS devices. It consists of Pages (like Word), Numbers (like Excel) and Keynote (like Powerpoint). Handily, iWork programs can access files created in Office programs, and you can save iWork files to. To install Office, try signing in directly to the Microsoft 365 Software page instead. Select the language and bit-version you want (PC users can choose between 32-bit and 64-bit), and then click Install. See Steps 2 and 3 on the PC or Mac tabs above to help you with the rest of the install process.

Hi
Apple has 'Pages' and 'Numbers' which are able to work with, respectively, Word and Excel files. You can purchase and download both from the App Store in your Dock. Both have the ability to export files as Word and Excel if you need to send files to other people who don't have Macs. Each is $20.

- Microsoft Office is also designed for the Apple MAC operating system. Microsoft Word is the best application for creating text documents and, for publishers, Excel provides a spreadsheet that manages data from multiple accounts.
Or, you can purchase Microsoft Office for Mac 2011, which contains both Word and Excel. You can purchase and download it from the Microsoft website. It's $120 per computer, or $150 for three computers.
